Bulgaria, 2,656,219.3 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of IBEX in March

A total of 2,656,219.3 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in March 2022, which is 12.1 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in March amounted to 85,684.5 MWh. Traded volume in March 2022 was 15.5 % higher compared to the same month last year.

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in March amounted to 249.23 euros/MWh, which is 32.7 % higher compared to February (187.8 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 258.01 euros/MWh (+ 25.6 %). There were a total of 87 registered participants on the IBEX day- ahead market, one more than in the previous month.

Regarding intraday market, a total of 69,872.9 MWh (+ 1.4 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 262.73 euros/MWh (+ 42.6 %).
