Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gross electricity production in FBiH in May amounted to 574 GWh

Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in May 2022 amounted to 574 GWh, which is by 1.6 % higher compared to May last year, when it amounted to 565 GWh.

Net electricity production amounted to 534 GWh, of which 210 GWh (39.3 %) was produced in hydropower plants, 306 GWh (57.3 %) was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 18 GWh. In May, electricity imports amounted to 23 GWh, compared to 55 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 180 GWh, compared to 186 GWh last May.

In the same month, production of brown coal amounted to 327,714 tons, which is 1.6 % less compared to 2020 when the production stood at 332,931 tons. Lignite production in May 2022 amounted to 150,259 tons, while in May 2021 it amounted to 150,433 tons, a 0.1 % decrease.

Coke production in May 2022 totaled 77,637 tons, which is 7.3 % less than 83.749 tons produced in May 2021.
