BiH: TPP Ugljevik has not started to deliver electricity to Slovenia

Not even two months after the adoption of the decision that RiTE Ugljevik should deliver balancing energy to Slovenian company HSE, the delivery of electricity has not started.

According to the ruling of the Belgrade arbitration court, TPP Ugljevik is obliged to deliver one-third of electricity generated by the plant to the Slovenian system. But, according to the plants union organization, its parent company, power utility ERS, directed the produced electricity to its own system and sold it on the international markets.

In July, an arbitration court ruled that RiTE Ugljevik has to pay 67 million euros in compensation to Slovenian electricity producer HSE. The court found that the Slovenian company is entitled to compensation for electricity not delivered by RiTE Ugljevik in the period from June 2011 to December 2021.
