BiH: TLG to build wind and solar power plants with combined installed capacity of 800 MW

The Government of the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton and local company TLG signed a concession agreement for the development, construction, equipping, operation and maintenance of the wind farm Kacelj and solar power plants Jahorina, Jahorina 1 and Jahorina 2, all with combined capacity of 800 MW. The total value of projects is estimated at 800 million euros.

The company was granted the concession for a period of 30 years, and according to representatives of the BPK Government, it is considered a very favorable contract and a highly serious partner.

Prime Minister Edin Culov believes that the agreement is significant in terms of economic development and strengthening the economy of BPK, considering that significant revenues of 5-6 million euros are expected in the cantonal budget.

Director of TLG Zoran Vujinovic said that the project of a 200 MW solar park should be implemented within two years. As for the wind farm, TLG has extensive experience in project development, but its realization requires extensive research and analysis, which will follow, along with consultations with the Ministry of Spatial Planning. Then, there will be activities for land conversion from agricultural to construction, as well as other procedures in accordance with the Law on Spatial Planning and Construction.
