BiH: Energo Cat started the construction of solar power plant near Sanski Most

Local company Energo Cat started the construction of the solar power plant in a village near Sanski Most. This is the first solar power plant in this region. The investor obtained all the necessary documentation for the construction of solar capacities.

The first phase of the project will include two separate facilities, with a capacity of 1 MW each. In later stages, the capacity of the solar complex will be increased to up to 25 MW. The investor decided to build the plant in stages due to the administrative level for permit issuance since permits for capacities up to 1 MW are issued at the local level.

The permitting process lasted for three years, while the total investment in the first phase of the project will amount to 2.5 million euros. The investor believes that the 25 MW solar power plant could make the entire region energy independent since the town of Sanski Most consumes around 8.5 MW in peak hours.
