Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed a reduction in the wholesale natural gas price for April 2025. The proposed price is set at approximately 41.3 euros/MWh, marking a 7.8% decrease compared to the approved March price of 44.8 euros/MWh, which had risen by 3.8% from February.
According to Bulgargaz, April’s gas supplies will come from its contract with Azerbaijan, with an additional 250,000 MWh imported from Turkey. Further quantities will be sourced from the Chiren underground gas storage facility, while no deliveries are planned from Greece’s Alexandroupoli LNG terminal.
The final price for April will be determined by the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) on the first day of the month. This decision will follow a public discussion at the end of March and an update to Bulgargaz’s proposal based on market conditions.
