Romania: New solar projects boost sustainability for Tehno Proenergy and beyond

Restart Energy has successfully implemented a small-scale solar project for Tehno Proenergy, valued at approximately 900,000 euros. This project features 1,818 solar panels installed on the roof of Tehno Proenergy’s facility in Sona, Alba County, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. The panels are expected to generate 1,287 MWh of energy annually, meeting the company’s total energy consumption.

Restart Energy managed the entire project lifecycle for Tehno Proenergy, providing consulting, design and implementation services.

In addition to this project, in June 2024, Restart Energy Group signed a significant connection contract with Transelectrica for a 500 MW solar power plant, valued at 11.2 million euros. This facility is projected to supply green energy to over 200,000 households, generating more than 800,000 MWh annually and reducing carbon emissions by approximately 400,000 tons per year—totaling around 12 million tons of CO2 over the project’s lifespan.

Restart Energy Group’s solar project portfolio currently exceeds 1,000 MW, showcasing its commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Tehno Proenergy, established in 2022 in Sibiu, specializes in producing and supplying electricity, heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning.
