Bosnia and Herzegovina: ALFI Renewables announces collaboration on 125 MW wind farm

Slovenian fund manager Alternative Financial Investments (ALFI) has revealed that its subsidiary, ALFI Renewables, will partner with Belgian company Aspiravi International and Swiss firm Zero Emissions on a significant wind energy project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The joint venture will develop a 125 MW wind farm near the town of Livno. The project, which is nearing the ready-to-build phase, plans to install 19 wind turbines. Construction is slated to begin in 2025, with the wind farm expected to commence operations in 2027. Financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.

ALFI Renewables, already active in renewable energy project development in the Western Balkans, recently completed the Krivaca wind farm in eastern Serbia in May. This 105.6 MW facility marked the region’s first wind farm.

The Aspiravi Group, a Belgian entity with over two decades in the renewable energy sector, specializes in developing, financing, constructing, and operating green energy projects. It focuses on providing sustainable power solutions to major electricity consumers.
