Hungary: Average day-ahead price on HUPX reached 91.7 euros/MWh in June

The average price of electricity on the day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX reached 91.72 euros/MWh in June 2024, which is 27% higher compared to the previous month (72.21 euros/MWh). The average peak price amounted to 70.74 euros/MWh in June, 38% higher compared to May.

Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.73 million MWh, 10% more compared to May (2.48 million MWh) and 29% more than in June 2023 (2.12 million MWh). The average daily trade amounted to 90,979 MWh.

On the intraday market, traded volume amounted to 802,428 MWh in June 2024, 1% more compared to May Average daily traded volume amounted to 26,748 MWh while the average price for the hourly product amounted to 93.95 euros/ MWh (+25%).
