Europe: TTF gas futures reached weekly minimum of 26 euros/MWh

According to AleaSoft Energy Forecasting, TTF gas futures in the ICE market for the Front‑Month, on Monday, April 1, reached their weekly maximum settlement price, €27.34/MWh. On Tuesday and Wednesday, prices declined. On Wednesday, April 3, the settlement price, €26.05/MWh, was the weekly minimum.

According to data analyzed at AleaSoft Energy Forecasting, this price was 5.9% lower than the previous Wednesday and the lowest since the first half of March. In the last sessions of the week, settlement prices recovered. On Friday, April 5, the settlement price was €26.61/MWh.

An unplanned reduction in gas supply from Norway contributed to the price increase at the end of the week. However, the still high levels of European reserves kept TTF gas futures prices below €27/MWh for most sessions in the first week of April, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting reports.
