Greece: HEnEx is developing a PPA platform

HEnEx is developing a pilot platform for renewable energy power purchase agreements which is expected to be launched within the third quarter.

The main idea is to offer common ground where producers and buyers can converge to negotiate bilateral contracts. A platform will be offered to facilitate the needs of buyers and sellers, and more complex functions such as billing, clearing or other services, will not be included.

At the same time, HEnEx is developing a contract template as assistance for parties interested in establishing PPAs. It will be at their discretion whether to use it or not. The aim will be to offer a formula ensuring proportionality and balance between producers and buyers to minimize the possibility of contracts being broken over the slightest of issues.
