Macedonian natural gas transmission company Nomagas has launched a tender for the construction of its section of a natural gas interconnector with Greece. The value of a contract is estimated at 83.7 million euros.

The deadline for the submission of offers is 1 February 2024.

The project involves the construction of a 67-kilometre-long gas pipeline and the installation of the accompanying facilities. The works are expected to be completed within 34 months.

The project is implemented with funds provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB).

In 2021, the Governments of North Macedonia and Greece signed an agreement for the construction of a natural gas interconnection between the two countries.
