Romania, The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the OPCOM amounted to 378.85 euros/MWh in September

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 378.85 euros/MWh in September 2022, which is 182.96 % higher compared to the same month in 2021 and 22.75 % lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 490.43 euros/MWh.

Traded volume in September reached 1.81 million MWh, which is 2.86 % more than in September 2021 and 18.34 % less than in August 2022. Average traded volume in September 2022 amounted to 2,519.7 MWh/h.

The total value of transactions in September amounted to 690.5 million euros, which is by 189.73 % more compared to September last year (238.3 million euros) and 37.23 % less than in the previous month (1.1 billion euros).

The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in September 2022 amounted to 45.14 %.

A total of 97,944.3 MWh was traded on intraday market in September (5.53 % less than in September 2021, and 3.75 % less compared to August 2022), with an average price of 394.85 euros/MWh (195.74 % higher compared to September 2021 and 16.41 % lower compared to the previous month).

Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in September amounted to 1.583 million MWh, with an average price of 117.78 euros/ MWh.
