Bulgaria, A total of 2,349,406 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the IBEX in August

A total of 2,349,406 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in August 2022, which is 8.4 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in August amounted to 75,787.3 MWh. Traded volume in August 2022 was 9 % higher compared to the same month last year.

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in August amounted to 432.85 euros/MWh, which is 33.9 % higher compared to July (323.28 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 431.96 euros/MWh (+ 38.3 %). There were a total of 92 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, same as in the previous month.

Regarding intraday market, a total of 95,745 MWh (+ 10.2 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 454.04 euros/MWh (+ 33.9 %).
