Romania, Transgaz has completed the project for the construction of Pojorata-Vatra Dornei section of the transmission gas pipeline

Romanian natural gas transmission system operator Transgaz announced that it has completed the project for the construction of Pojorata-Vatra Dornei section of the transmission gas pipeline in Suceava county.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Romanian Prime Minister Niculae Ciuca who said that the Government will continue to support the projects for the realization of the natural gas transport infrastructure in the region, part of the major objective of completing, in the next three years, the connection project between northeastern and northwestern parts of the country.

According to him, it is essential to understand and integrate these investments with the projects started at the level of the Ministry of Energy regarding gas exploitations. Along with the exploitation that started in the summer in the perimeter operated by BSOG and with the start of the offshore project in the Neptun Deep perimeter, Romania will have a much higher natural gas extraction capacity. Combined with an expanded natural gas transportation capacity, it will be able to have a balanced gas distribution throughout the country.
