Bulgaria, A total of 2,071,088.2 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the IBEX in May

A total of 2,071,088.2 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in May 2022, which is 14.1 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in May amounted to 66,809.3 MWh. Traded volume in May 2022 was 10.3 % higher compared to the same month last year.

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in May amounted to 201.77 euros/MWh, which is 15.9 % higher compared to March (174.02 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 193.48 euros/MWh (+ 13.1 %). There were a total of 88 registered participants on the IBEX day -ahead market, one more than in the previous month.

Regarding intraday market, a total of 87,151.6 MWh (+ 10.4 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 186.84 euros/MWh (+ 11 %).
