Bulgaria, 2,368,646.2 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of IBEX in February

A total of 2,368,646.2 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in February 2022, which is 7.4 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in February amounted to 84,594.5 MWh. Traded volume in February 2022 was 22.2 % higher compared to the same month last year.

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in February amounted to 187.8 euros/ MWh, which is 1.8 % lower compared to January (191.16 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 205.5 euros/MWh (- 9 %). There were a total of 86 registered participants on the IBEX day- ahead market, one more than in the previous month.

Regarding intraday market, a total of 68,914.8 MWh (- 12.8 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 184.22 euros/MWh (- 9.1 %).
