Slovenia, Country’s net electricity generation in November 2021 decreased by 11 %

According to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia, country’s net electricity generation in November 2021 decreased by 11 % compared to the same month last year.

In November 2021, total net electricity generation in Slovenia reached 1,250 GWh, which is 8 % more than in the previous month. At the same time, consumption was 2 % higher compared to October. In November, production in thermal power plants decreased by 19 % compared to the same month in 2020, production in hydropower plants decreased by 15 %, while NPP Krsko produced 1 % less electricity compared to the same month last year. In November 2021, Slovenia imported 646 GWh (13 % more compared to November 2020) of electricity and exported 645 GWh (- 14 %).

Supply of energy commodities in general went down in November, except from the supply of natural gas which rose by 19 %, coke by 8 %, LPG by 5 % and lignite and brown coal 5 %. Compared to the previous month, a decrease in supply of heating oil (44 %) was recorded, as well as kerosene (44 %), hard coal (26 %), other petroleum products (21 %), petrol (13 %) and diesel (13 %).

Compared to November 2020, the supply of kerosene increased by 69 %, petrol by 69 %, heating oil by 46 %, diesel by 17 %, coke by 7 % and LPG by 5 %.
