Croatia: Production of electricity in November

In November 2020 net electricity production in Croatia amounted to 1,217 GWh, which is 19.5 % lower compared to November last year, when the production amounted to 1,511 GWh, according to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

During November, 525 GWh of electricity or 43.1 % was produced in hydropower plants, 464 GWh or 38.1 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 144 GWh or 11.8 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 887 GWh of electricity, 45.9 % more compared to last November (608 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 602 GWh, 4.3 % less than in November 2019 (629 GWh). Regarding hydrocarbon production, Croatia produced 71 million cubic meters of natural gas in November 2020, 12.3 % less compared to November last year. Natural gas imports stood at 179 million cubic meters, 6.3 % less than in November 2019. Crude oil production stood at 47,000 tons, which is 9.6 % lower compared to the same month last year. Production of petroleum products stood at 115,000 tons in November 2020, which is more than three times lower than in the same month last year.
