Romania: Lower Q2 sales at OMV Petrom

OMV Petrom’s hydrocarbon production dropped by 2.64 % year-on-year in the second quarter of 2020, reaching 147,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day. OMV Petrom is Romanian largest oil and gas company and is a part of Austrian OMV Group.

Compared to the first quarter of the year, OMV Petrom’s daily hydrocarbon production fell 2 %. Total daily hydrocarbon sales volume was 142,100 barrels of oil equivalent during April-June period, down from a daily 142,800 in the same period of 2019, which is mauch lower drop than expected amid the coronavirus crisis.

Total sales of refined products fell to 1.15 million tons in the second quarter of 2020, compared to 1.39 million tons in the same period last year. The volume of gas sales rose to 11.77 TWh, compared to 9.11 TWh in the second quarter of 2019. Net electricity output was 0.57 TWh in Q2 2020, compared to just 0.05 TWh in Q2 2019.
