Slovenia: Petrol expects 157-million-euro profit in 2024

Petrol’s supervisory board approved the business plan for 2024, targeting a net profit of 156.5 million euros in 2024 and revenue of 5.8 billion euros.

Petrol plans to sell 4.1 million tonnes of fuels and petroleum products, along with 667.5 million euros in merchandise and services. The company also aims to trade and sell 16.4 TWh of natural gas, and 12.4 TWh of electricity, and provide 147.7 GWh of heat.

Additionally, Petrol plans to produce 204.4 GWh of electricity, according to a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

The business plan also outlines an EBITDA of 304.6 million and a net debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 1.41.

Despite the currently effective legislation which limits margins on certain petroleum products without due grounds, Petrol will pursue the strategic green transition guidelines and earmark 130 million euros for investments, the company noted.

Petrol reported a net profit of 95 million euros for the first nine months of 2023, up from 24 million euros in the prior-year period.
