Slovenia: Electricity production reached 1.3 TWh in January

Net electricity production in Slovenia in January 2024 increased by 17% compared to the same month last year, according to the data from the Statistical Office. Total net electricity generation reached 1,354 GWh, which is 2% more than in the previous month. 

Production in thermal power plants increased by 35% compared to the same month in 2023, production in hydropower plants increased by 25%, while production of nuclear power plant Krsko remained the same.

In the same period, Slovenia imported 902 GWh (+6%) of electricity and exported 974 GWh (+12). Households consumed 375 GWh, while the consumption of commercial consumers amounted to 639 GWh.
