Slovenia: Electricity generation fell by 25% in April

The decline in production was influenced by the overhaul of the Krsko nuclear power plant

In April in Slovenia, the net electricity production was 877 gigawatt hours. Compared to March (1.374 GWh), this is a decrease of just over a third, and compared to April 2023, almost a quarter. The decline in production was influenced by the restructuring of the Krsko nuclear power plant. This was announced by the country’s statistical institute.

In April, the production of hydropower plants was 43 per cent higher than in April last year, and that of thermoelectric power plants was 2 percent higher.

In April, Slovenia imported 922 GWh of electricity and exported 733 GWh. Compared to the previous April, imports increased by 25 percent, while exports decreased by 14 percent.
