Slovenia, Electricity and natural gas prices increased in Q4 2021

According to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia, households were paying 0.158 euros per kWh of electricity and 0.059 euros per kWh of natural gas in the fourth quarter of 2021. Compared to the third quarter of the year, electricity prices decreased by 9 %, while gas prices rose by 2 %.

The average electricity price for industrial consumers in the third quarter of 2021 amounted to 0.107 euros/kWh without VAT, which is a 11 % increase compared to the previous quarter. Natural gas prices for industrial consumers in Slovenia increased by 47 % compared to the second quarter of 2021 and amounted to 0.049 euros/kWh without VAT.

In the first half of 2021, natural gas price with all taxes for household consumers in Slovenia (with annual consumption between 5,556 and 55,556 kWh) represented 85 % of the EU-27 average. For non-household consumers the natural gas price without VAT (2,777,778 – 27,777,778 kWh of annual consumption) represented 102 % of the EU -27 average.

In the same period average electricity price with all taxes for household consumers in Slovenia (2,500 – 5,000 kWh of annual consumption) represented 76 % of the EU-27 average. The electricity price without VAT for non-household consumers (500 – 2,000 MWh of annual consumption) represented 72 % of the EU-27 average.
