Serbia: Srbijagas achieved good operational results in 2019

According to its Supervisory Board, the performance of Serbian state-owned gas company Srbijagas in 2019 was marked by a positive trend and improvement of most business indicators. According to the report, the level of collection of current overdue receivables amounted to 92 % in 2019, while the collection of receivables from previous years significantly increased. Srbijagas achieved a greater physical volume of transported and distributed natural gas and as a result – a positive financial result-
Although the purchase price of imported natural gas had a slight upward trend, there was no change in regulated selling prices in 2019. Chairman of the Supervisory Board Muamer Redzovic said that thanks to streamlining expenditures and increasing revenues, the company was able to achieve an exceptionally good result.
Last year was marked by the construction of a main gas pipeline on the territory of Serbia, from the border with Bulgaria to the border with Hungary, namely the Serbian section of TurkStream gas pipeline extension.
