Serbia, Serbia to invest 100 million euros in low-voltage distribution network in 2022

Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic said that in 2022, the Government will invest at least 100 million euros in increasing reliability of low-voltage electricity distribution network across the country.

Minister Mihajlovic stressed that the investment will also be targeted at rural areas, where disruptions in the supply of electricity are more frequent.

She also mentioned the Government’s project for increasing energy efficiency, which will last for several years and between 100 and 150 million euros will be invested. The tenders for subsidies for the replacement of carpentry at residential building are already underway, while the tender for the installation of solar panels on residential building will be launched in September. The subsides will cover 50 % of the installation costs.
