Serbia: 300 MW agrisolar project planned in Kladovo

Kladovo municipality put up for early public review the Detailed Regulation Plan for the construction of a solar power plant, Kladovo Solar Gate. The investor is local company ERG Renewables.

The project company was established in 2019 and is wholly owned by Cyprus-based ERG Investments. The project envisaged the construction of a solar power plant with an installed capacity of 300 MW and includes an area of 583 hectares.

The plot is mostly agricultural land, lower-quality farming land for the most part. In the solar power plant area, it is possible to implement innovative solutions, such as the agrisolar concept, which entails livestock farming or agricultural production with the simultaneous production of electricity.
