Serbia: 100 MW solar power plant to be built in Sremska Mitrovica

A solar power plant with an installed capacity of 100 MW with a battery energy storage system is being planned in the village of Calma near Sremska Mitrovica.

The investor for the detailed regulation plan (DRP) project, which the City of Sremska Mitrovica has put up for early public review, is local company RP Global Solarne Elektrane, wholly owned by RP Global Austria.

The site where the power plant will be located covers 200.88 hectares. Solar panels intended for installation on the ground can also be set up as agrosolar, allowing agricultural crops to be grown and livestock to graze beneath them. The generated electricity will be supplied to the national electricity network.
