SEE Region, Drop in spot prices to 83 to 108 euros per MWh on Monday

The average daily spot prices of electricity in the region of Southeast Europe and Hungary were significantly reduced on Monday in most countries, except in Slovenia and Croatia, where they increased by about 4 percent compared to Sunday.

The lowest prices in the region on Monday were recorded by Serbia – 83.41 euros per MWh, 5 percent less compared to Sunday, and Romania and Bulgaria, with 83.9 euros per MWh, which is 13 percent less compared to the previous day.

Greece is also in the group of countries below the €100 per MWh threshold on Monday, with an average spot price of €97.42 per MWh.

The day-ahead price in Slovenia and Croatia is 101.5 euros per MWh, which represents a moderate increase from 98 euros per MWh on Sunday.

On Monday, Hungary recorded one of the highest prices in Europe on a Monday, after Italy (141.03 euros per MWh), Switzerland (123.99 euros per MWh) and Poland (112.8 euros per MWh).

The spot price in Hungary increased by 12 percent compared to the week. The premium compared to the German market is over 70 euros per MWh.
