Romania: Transgaz posts €104 million net profit in H1 2025, up 282% year-on-year

Romanian natural gas transmission operator Transgaz reported a group-level net profit of 104 million euros in the first half of 2025, marking a 282 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. Consolidated gross profit also rose sharply, up 272 percent or 77 million euros versus H1 2024.

The company’s core performance showed significant improvement. Operating revenues, excluding balancing and IFRIC12 construction effects, increased 140 percent, adding 81.6 million euros, while operating costs on the same basis rose 112 percent, or 20.1 million euros. The Moldovan subsidiary Vestmoldtransgaz contributed around 29.6 million euros from natural gas delivery services.

On a standalone basis, Transgaz reported a gross profit increase of 63.4 million euros, up 242 percent, and a net profit rise of 55.2 million euros, up 248 percent compared to H1 2024.
