Romania, Trade volume at OPCOM DAM 2.13 TWh in November

The total volume of trade on the Romanian day-ahead electricity market, OPCOM DAM, in November 2022 was 2.125 million MWh, which is 11% more compared to the same month of the previous year (1.91 million MWh), according to the operator’s monthly report the stock market.

Compared to October 2022, the volume increased by 20% in November.

The average trade volume also increased by 11% year-on-year, to 2,952 MWh per hour.

The share of DAM in the projected net national consumption increased by 29% on an annual basis, to 51%.

The average price for base load at DAM in November was 222.44 euros per MWh, which is 4% more compared to the same month last year. On a monthly basis, the price has increased by 7%.

The value of transactions on OPCOM DAM in November increased by 15% year-on-year, to 486.7 million euros.

The weighted average intraday market price, OPCOM IDM, was 239.4 euros per MWh in November, and the trading volume was 73,505 MWh.
