Romania: TotalEnergies to buy 208 MW solar projects from PNE

PNE Group and TotalEnergies Renewables agreed on the sale of five solar projects in Romania for an undisclosed sum. The projects are under development with a combined installed capacity of 208 MW.

According to the agreement, PNE will remain responsible for further project development until the ready-to-build stage is achieved.

PNE Group has been active in Romania for over 10 years and successfully developed and sold 510 MW of wind and solar projects.

At the end of 2022, TotalEnergies had a gross installed renewable electricity generation capacity of almost 17 GW. The company’s objective is to reach a production capacity of 35 GW from renewable sources and storage by 2025 and 100 GW by 2030.
