Romania: The average price on the OPCOM day-ahead market reached 69.8 euros/MWh in February

The average price on the day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 69.76 euros/MWh in February, which is 51% lower compared to the same month in 2023 and 20% lower compared to the January (87.67 euros/MWh).

Traded volume in February reached 1.6 million MWh, 3 % more than in February 2022 and 23% less than in January. Average traded volume amounted to 2,300.3 MWh/h. The total value of transactions in February amounted to 112.7 million euros.

The share of the day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in February amounted to 37%.

On the intraday market, 152,594 MWh was traded with an average price of 68.73 euros/ MWh.
