Romania: Restart Energy installed a 400 kW solar system

Restart Energy has completed the installation of a solar system worth over 340,000 euros for Cotnari winery in Iasi county. The project consists of 883 solar panels, on an area of 5,000 square meters, with an installed capacity of 400 kW. The investment will pay for itself in less than four years.

The renewable electricity produced will cover 25% of the winery’s internal consumption. Over the next 25 years, the solar panels will produce 12,647 MWh of electricity, which would be a reduction in energy costs of more than 2.5 million euros. The solar system also means a reduction in CO2 emissions of 159 tons per year.

In 2021, Restart Energy signed a partnership with the American fund Interlink Capital Strategies to finance the development of 500 MW
