PPC Renewables, a subsidiary of Greek power utility PPC, has launched construction of a 140 MW wind park in Vaslui County, Romania, PPC said in a press release.
The project consists of 23 GE Vernova 6.1 MW wind turbines that will be connected to the network by the end of 2025. The wind farm is expected to produce around 370 GWh of green electricity annually, which would be enough to supply around 62,000 households.
PPC Renewables operates more than 700 MW in Romania currently. With the new wind power plant, the group’s total installed renewable energy capacity in the country will reach around 850 MW.
