Romania, Petromidia Navodari oil refinery will suspend operation between 11 March and 3 April

Rompetrol Rafinare, a subsidiary of KMG International (KMGI), announced that its Petromidia Navodari oil refinery will suspend operation between 11 March and 3 April due to scheduled technological turnaround.

The statement from the company said that, within this period, works will be carried out to verify and recertify the production units and the operational flows, according to the legislation in force. In order to maintain and increase production efficiencies, but also to ensure the quality of fuels, catalyst replacement works are also scheduled in the refinery units.

Against the background of these works, the company will also suspend the operational processes of its Vega Ploiesti refinery, which operates with finished and semi-finished materials from the Petromidia refinery.

Throughout this period, the company will continue to honor its contractual obligations, deliveries of petroleum products to customers will be provided from its own stocks or with the support of the trading division of the KMGI Group.

The technological turnaround is a necessity for the good functioning of the refinery units and is part of the general strategy of the Group, through which a precise calendar of activities has been established, with general turnarounds carried out every 4 years and technological shutdowns scheduled every 2 years.
