Romania: Nuclearelectrica’s Q1 2021 profit rose slightly

During the first quarter of the year, Romanian electricity producer Nuclearelectrica recorded a net profit in the amount of 48 million euros, which is 9 % higher compared to the same period last year.

The company’s operating profit rose by 10.4 % year-on-year to 57.4 million euros, mainly due to an increase of operational revenues by 10.6 %, which amounted to 143 million euros in the first three months of the year. Nuclearelectrica produced about 2.659 TWh of electricity in the first quarter, which is 6.6 % less compared to the same period in 2020.
