Romania, Nova Power & Gas Mircea Bica said that the company is developing a 123 MW cogeneration plant

Speaking at the energy conference, CEO of Nova Power & Gas Mircea Bica said that the company is developing a 123 MW cogeneration plant, with electricity output of 88 MW, using methane gas and, possibly, hydrogen.

Bica said that the facility will also have a 35 ME solar power plant, 20 MW battery storage unit and a green hydrogen production unit.

He reminded that Nova Power & Gas recently put into operation a 13.4 MW gas-fired power plant in Campia Turzii, a n investment worth some 7 million euros. The company also operates two solar power plants – 6 MW plant in Campia Turzii and 3 MW plant in Livezile.

Nova Power & Gas is a part of E-Infra Group, present since 2005 on the electricity market and since 2007 on the gas market. In 2013 it entered the market for the development of renewable energy solutions.
