Romania, Enel Green Power Romania has launched a public call for the selection of a contractor for the construction of 370 MW solar power plant

Enel Green Power Romania has launched a public call for the selection of a contractor for the construction of 370 MW solar power plant in Arad county, representing the first phase of a larger 666 MW solar project.

Last year, Enel’s Romanian subsidiary acquired two solar projects from the Monsson Group. This August, electricity transmission system operator Transelectrica issued a network connection permit for a total capacity of 666 MW for Nadab 1 solar power plant located in Arad county. The permit is valid until the end of 2024.

Solas Electricity, a special purpose vehicle established to develop the project, has launched several tenders, among which is the one for the contractor for the solar power plant (worth 102 million euros), the contractor for a substation and a transmission line (30.8 million euros) and for the procurement of electrical equipment for the project (transformers, high-voltage cables). Total value of all tenders amounts to 149 million euros.

Enel Green Power Romania operates a renewable energy portfolio of 534 MW in Romania, most of which in wind farms.
