Romanian Ministry of Energy extended the deadline for submitting projects for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) funds for investments in the installation of new electricity generation capacities from wind and solar from 31 May to June 15.

The National Recovery and Resilience Plan aims to support investments in new capacities for electricity generation from wind and solar, with or without integrated storage, with deadline for completion of projects, respectively connection to the network, of June 2024.

The maximum amount of state aid granted for wind projects under the installed MW scheme is: 1.3 million euros/MW for installed capacities between 0.2 and 1 MW, and 650,000 euros/MW for installed capacities of more than 1 MW.

For solar projects, the maximum is 750,000 euros/MW for installed capacities between 0.2 and 1 MW, and 425,000 euros/MW for installed capacities greater than 1 MW.

The maximum aid that can be granted for an investment project cannot exceed 15 million euros per company, per investment project.
