Romania, Bucharest City Hall has sued Romanian subsidiary of Hungarian oil and gas company MOL

The Bucharest City Hall has sued Romanian subsidiary of Hungarian oil and gas company MOL, which allegedly breached a contract signed back in 1995.

Bucharest Mayor Nicusor Dan said that the City Hall now wants to terminate the contract and claims 200,000 euros in damages. MOL inherited the contract from Petroli Romania, a subsidiary of Italian Agip.

According to contract, Under the agreement, Bucharest municipality was entitled to receive 2 % of the sales generated by the petrol stations built at seven locations made available by the municipality and 1.7 % of the sales generated by the petrol station built in the eighth location.
