Romania, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the OPCOM amounted to 367.19 euros/MWh in July

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 367.19 euros/MWh in July 2022, which is 291.28 % higher compared to the same month in 2021 and 59.51 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 230.19 euros/MWh.

Traded volume in July reached 2.35 million MWh, which is 18.31 % more than in July 2021 and 9.2 % more than in June 2022. Average traded volume in July 2022 amounted to 3,161.3 MWh/h.

The total value of transactions in July amounted to 880.8 million euros, which is by 363.31 % more compared to July last year (190.1 million euros) and 72.51 % more than in the previous month (510.6 million euros).

The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in July 2021 amounted to 52.24 %.

A total of 78,548.8 MWh was traded on intraday market in July (32.24 % less than in July 2021, and 0.13 % more compared to June 2022), with an average price of 354.42 euros/MWh (268.02 % higher compared to July 2021 and 63.89 % higher compared to the previous month).

Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in July amounted to 1.598 million MWh, with an average price of 105.76 euros/MWh.
