Romania, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the OPCOM amounted to 222.44 euros/MWh in November

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 222.44 euros/MWh in November 2022, which is 4.66 % higher compared to the same month in 2021 and 7.9 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 206.17 euros/MWh.

Traded volume in November reached 2.13 million MWh, which is 11.24 % more than in November 2021 and 19.91 % more than in October 2022. Average traded volume in November 2022 amounted to 2,379 MWh/h.

The total value of transactions in November amounted to 486.7 million euros, which is by 15.99 % more compared to November last year (419.6 million euros) and 28.22 % more than in the previous month (379.6 million euros).

The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in November 2022 amounted to 51.21 %.

A total of 73,504 MWh was traded on intraday market in November (25.91 % less than in November 2021, and 22.61 % less compared to October 2022), with an average price of 239.4 euros/MWh (8.17 % higher compared to November 2021 and 3.99 % higher compared to the previous month).

Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in November amounted to 1.565 million MWh, with an average price of 109.33 euros/ MWh.
