Romania, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of OPCOM amounted to 212.55 euros/MWh in November

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 212.55 euros/MWh in November 2021, which is 337.09 % higher compared to the same month in 2020 and 10.55 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 192.26 euros/MWh.

Traded volume in November reached 1.911 million MWh, which is 6.86 % more than in November 2020, and 0.75 % less than in October 2021. Average traded volume in November 2021 amounted to 2,653.6 MWh/h.

The total value of transactions in November amounted to 419.59 million euros, which is by 364.97 % more compared to November last year (90.24 million euros) and 10.3 % more than in the previous month (380.41 million euros).

The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in November 2021 amounted to 39.63 %.

A total of 99,205.7 MWh was traded on intraday market in November (122.75 % more than in November 2020, and 3.13 % less compared to September 2021), with an average price of 221.31 euros/MWh (349.94 % higher compared to November 2020 and 14.04 % higher compared to the previous month).

Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in November amounted to 1.370 million MWh, with an average price of 60.99 euros/MWh.
