Romania, 3.5 GW in RES projects applied for financing under PNRR

According to Romanian consultancy firm REI, a total of 668 submissions for wind and solar projects, with a combined installed capacity of 3.5 GW, were made for financing under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

REI managing partner Roxana Mircea said that the firm submitted projects for over 100 customers, with installed capacities ranging from 0.2 MW to 70 MW. She said that the interest for energy projects under the PNRR was huge, adding that it was crucial that the Government extended the submission deadline by 50 days.

According to the PNRR, for the installation of solar power plants companies could request grants worth between 425,000 and 750,000 euros per MW. For wind farms, interested companies could request non-reimbursable support of up to 1.3 million euros per MW.
