Region, Weekly spot prices from 293 to 363 euros per MWh

Wholesale prices of electricity on the markets in Southeast Europe in the period from December 12 to 18 recorded significant fluctuations, with some countries reporting gains and others losses compared to the previous week.

Serbia, Croatia and Bulgaria recorded an increase in electricity prices, while Greece recorded a price drop. In Hungary and Romania, electricity prices changed slightly compared to the previous week. Croatia and Serbia, which recorded a jump in the price of electricity by 3% and 2%, respectively, compared to the previous week.

The average weekly electricity prices in Central Europe ranged between 360 and 390 euros per MWh.

Electricity throughout the SEE region was traded in the range of 293 to 363 euros per MWh. Wholesale electricity prices in Greece were reduced to a weekly average of €293.2 per MWh, as demand for electricity fell and production from renewable sources remained stable compared to the previous week.

The Hungarian market was the most expensive in the region, with an average weekly price of 363.3 euros per MWh.
