Region, The average spot price of electricity in the first ten days of December was 364.5 euros per MWh

According to data on price movements on the Hungarian stock exchange HUPX for delivery on Saturday, December 10, the average price of one MWh of electricity (for base load) is 406.99 euros per MWh, Macedonian supplier EDS announced.

The price of electricity on Saturday during the day, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (peak load), reached 480.13 euros per MWh, while the average price in the first ten days of December is 364.53 euros per MWh – that is nearly 142 euros above the price at which electricity was traded during the previous month.

Bearing in mind the current situation on the energy market in Europe and the world, it is important to raise awareness of the importance of rational consumption of electricity, as well as regular settlement of bills in order to preserve supply stability, EDS adds.
