Region, Hungarian-Slovenian integrated in SDAC and SIDC

Hungarian and Slovenian transmission system operators MAVIR and ELES informed market participants that the 400 kV interconnection Cirkovce – Heviz was put into operation on June 30, 2022.

With this step, the prerequisite for the inclusion of the Hungarian-Slovenian border in the European day-ahead market (SDAC) and intraday market (SIDC) coupling project has been fulfilled, announced the operators of the Hungarian and Slovenian stock exchanges, HUPX and BSP SouthPool.

The plan for inclusion in cross-border capacity calculation processes foresees that the first day of delivery for day-ahead allocation capacity calculation via CORE FB MC (Core Flow-Based Market Coupling) will be July 6, 2022, while for intraday allocation capacity calculation via The first delivery day of SIDC (Single Intraday Coupling) will be July 7, 2022, according to the announcement.
