Region, Drastic drop in spot prices on Thursday

Day-ahead delivery prices on Thursday, March 31, 2022, on electricity exchanges in Southeast Europe fell sharply in all markets and ranged from 107.12 euros per MWh in Bulgaria to 227.57 euros per MWh in Slovenia and Croatia.

The spot price on the Serbian stock exchange SEEPEX was reduced by 35 euros compared to the previous day, to 220.4 euros per MWh.

The Bulgarian and Romanian markets have not been flooded all week. The Bulgarian price was reduced by about 56 euros, to 107.12 euros per MWh.

The price in Romania is 156.08 euros per MWh, which is 70 euros less than on Wednesday.

The Hungarian price was reduced by 54 euros for one day, to 217.72 euros per MWh.

On the Slovenian and Croatian stock exchanges, the spot price on Thursday is 227.57 euros per MWh, which is 48 euros less than on Wednesday.

Greek stock market data were not released on time.

According to EPEX SPOT, day-ahead prices in Central and Western Europe on Thursday range from 126.53 euros per MWh in Poland to 300.42 euros per MWh in Switzerland.
