North Macedonia: Makpetrol’s profit significantly rose in H1 2024

Makpetrol, a Macedonian fuel retail company, reported a non-consolidated net profit of 15.2 million euros for the first half of 2024, marking a significant 201% increase compared to the same period last year.

Operating revenues rose by 3% to 231.5 million euros, while operating expenses also increased by 3% to 225.8 million euros. Domestic sales grew by 5% year-on-year to 227.5 million euros, though foreign sales fell sharply by 60% to 2.8 million euros.

In 2023, Makpetrol recorded a net profit of 12.5 million euros, which was 40% lower than the previous year. The company’s operating revenues decreased by 19% to 492 million euros, with operating expenses also falling by 18% to 478.8 million euros. Domestic sales dropped by 17% to 475.5 million euros, and foreign sales decreased by 68% to 12.5 million euros.

Makpetrol operates a network of over a hundred petrol stations in North Macedonia and also has units in Serbia and Greece.
